The Namma Veedu trust standard
Our first duty is information you can act on. These are the eight rules we follow, and you can check each one on our pages.
Every fact has a source
Fees, timings, rules and history are checked against official sources, linked at the end of every article.
Every article shows when it was last checked
A "last checked" date sits under every headline. After six months it turns into a warning and the article goes on our recheck list.
Prices are ranges, with a date
No single number that will be wrong next month: a range, and the month it was true.
Nobody can buy a recommendation
Sponsored content is clearly labelled. No hotel, shop or place can pay to be listed or ranked.
Mistakes are fixed in public
Report an error from any article. We check it within 48 hours and log every fix on the corrections page.
Safety comes first
Warnings about risks, scams and weather come before everything else, with emergency numbers.
Real readers, real names
Reader reviews are moderated and shown with the reader's name and town. We never write reviews ourselves.
Your data stays yours
